Due to the ever-increasing numbers at FC Birrarung, we are streamlining our registration processes so teams can be finalised as early as possible to allow time to find clubs for those players who may miss out.

Registrations are open now for EXISTING PLAYERS. Please register by midnight on Wednesday, February 15 at myfootballclub.com.au. If not, your child’s place in his team could be in jeopardy. A self-help instruction sheet is available. Siblings who have never played can register now but they will be classified as new players.

Registrations for NEW PLAYERS will open on Monday, February 13. This includes those on the waiting list, who will receive an email in the next week. It is hoped that teams would be formed by the end of February.

All-inclusive fees for the year are $385 for juniors (U12 and above) and $275 for MiniRoos (U11 and below).

General team information

Teams will be FORMED based on AGE (i.e. those born in 2002 will play U15, 2003 U14, 2004 U13 and so on) – except for girls teams beyond the age of 12, which rise in two-year bands (U12, U14, U16 etc).

Playing up an age group is generally discouraged, but can be reviewed in exceptional circumstances, subject to vacancies arising in the older age group and after assessment by an expert coaching panel.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our reliance on volunteers, new teams cannot be formed without providing a coach and a team manager from the parent group. All training /coaching is provided by the club at FFA/FFV courses, with club mentors available to assist those new to the game. Please indicate your willingness to volunteer by emailing fcbirrarung@hotmail.com.

Training nights and times will be largely determined by individual coaches according to their availability – with the City of Melbourne’s guidance. It is envisaged that training will finish at 7.30pm regardless of which night/s are chosen.

The 18-game home-and-away season starts after Easter and ends at the end of August. Teams play on a Sunday.

Please message us or email us at fcbirrarung@hotmail.com if you have any other inquiries.

Kind regards, Ross
